Venous Intervention

High Desert Radiology uses the latest technology to obtain the finest magnetic resonance (MR, 3T), computed tomography (CT, 64 slice), and fluoroscopic (Seimens Artis) venographic imaging in northern Arizona. Fellowship trained vascular/interventional and board certified radiologists oversee the interventional center and personally conduct all procedures. Procedures include:

  • IVC filter placement and retrieval
  • DVT thrombolysis
  • Treatment of SVC syndrome
  • Endovascular iliocaval reconstructions for patients with extrinsic compression (May-Thurner) or changes of chronic DVT
  • Venous access
    • Portacath placement
    • Tunneled central and dialysis line placement
    • Nontunneled central venous access
    • PICC placement
  • Venous embolization for treatment of:
    • Painful varicoceles
    • Pelvic venous congestion
